I'm Natalie, he's Jim.
I was lucky enough to grow up with two parents who absolutely loved food, and have been experimenting in the kitchen since I was a little girl. Food is, and always has been, my passion - as much instilled as innate. As a young child, my mother gave me an extensive spice kit (rather, a substantial tackle box, filled with various aromatics) and had me concoct blends that we would then play with in the kitchen. I was asked to pull the flavors apart in foods to decipher what exactly went in the dish, pastry, or confection (this is a game I still love to play, along with any kind of flavor profiling - beer, cheese, sake, wine, bourbon, chocolate - the list will, hopefully, never end). It has been my lifelong goal to turn my love of the culinary arts into something that'd pay the bills, and I am incredibly grateful for the support of my loved ones in this endeavor.
Jim wrangles big technology problems and ornery developers for a living. When he actually has time, he helps make the website work, holds up photo props and does the dishes.
Isis and Llama are our two wonderful, affectionate and incredibly patient cats. They like to chase each other around, give each other baths and steal warm seats the minute they're vacated.
